If there’s anything we’ve learned in this last year and a half, it’s that educators like you are essential to every community across the world. Through your classes on Outschool, you have inspired a love of learning throughout some of our most challenging days in recent memory. By doing so, you have helped build and expand an incredible platform where families and children can come to find connection, develop skills, and explore their passions.

While you’ve been hard at work designing curriculum, managing your classroom, and uplifting learners, the Outschool team has been dedicated to ensuring that the resources and products available to you continue to match the continued increasing demand for excellent online learning opportunities.

Funding for our future

We are proud to announce that Outschool has raised $110 million in Series D funding that will help us provide more resources to educators and learners while developing new and innovative product offerings. Less than a year ago, we announced $75 million raised in Series C funding (the previous round of capital investment for Outschool), and the money raised in Series D represents continued support from top-tier investors who see us as leaders in the preK-12 virtual learning field.

Additionally, we will continue to set aside stock for the benefit of educators if Outschool has a liquidity event or IPO. We wholeheartedly believe that educators on Outschool should be recognized for their contributions to the platform’s success, and we intend to use the Teacher Endowment Fund as a way to share in the financial upside of Outschool’s growth. Additional details will be provided at a later date.

What’s next for Outschool?

The funding from this round of capital investment will be used to fuel product developments, increase educator support and resources, and expand our global reach to learners, educators, and organizations seeking online educational activities that truly engage children in a love of learning.

“I have seen firsthand how the talented teachers on Outschool impact the lives of learners day in and day out,” says Amir Nathoo, CEO of Outschool. “As we continue to grow and innovate, we will continue to take into consideration the input and feedback from our amazing community of educators. We are always so grateful for their contribution to our marketplace.”

Even though many schools have returned to in-person learning, Outschool has continued to see a high demand for virtual, small-group learning opportunities. Just this year, we’ve developed new programs, product features, and company partnerships in response to feedback and requests from Outschool educators and families – and we’re just getting started. Just this month, we’ve debuted the refreshed Educator Library full of professional development and teaching resources for educators and begun integrating a revamped e-mail system that makes it easier for us to stay in touch.

At the center of this incredible milestone are the educators (like you!) who have built their businesses on Outschool and dedicated themselves to helping learners follow their passions and accomplish their goals. Thank you for being a part of this exciting journey and joining the Outschool team as we continue to work together toward our mission.
