Purpose
The Educator Stories area of the Educator Library is a space designed for educators to share experiences, celebrate wins, and inspire one another. Whether it’s a classroom success, a unique instructional practice, or a business breakthrough, your story can provide valuable insights and motivation to fellow educators in the Outschool community.
We welcome submissions in various formats, including written stories, images, and short videos. Share your journey and contribute to a growing collection of educator experiences that highlight innovation, resilience, and creativity.
How to Submit Your Story
1. Choose Your Format
- Text-based stories: 500–1,500 words (structured with an introduction, experience, impact, and key takeaways).
- Image-based stories: High-quality images with captions and context.
- Video-based stories: 2-10 minute videos recorded in landscape mode with clear audio.
2. Submission Requirements
Each submission must include:
- Title: A compelling and clear title for your story.
- Summary: A short (2-3 sentence) overview of your story.
- Full Story: A well-structured narrative covering:
- The background/context.
- Your experience or insight.
- The impact on students or your business.
- Key takeaways for fellow educators.
- Media (Optional but Encouraged):
- High-quality images (JPEG/PNG, min. 1200×800 px).
- Video (MP4 format, min. 720p resolution).
3. Submission Process

Once submitted, our team will review your story and notify you of the next steps.
Review & Approval Process
To ensure the highest quality content, each submission will be reviewed based on the following rubric:

Relevance | Highly relevant, directly benefits educators | Relevant, provides useful insights | Somewhat relevant but lacks clear value |
Clarity & Structure | Well-organized, easy to follow | Organized, mostly clear | Lacks structure, difficult to follow |
Engagement | Captivating, inspiring, and authentic | Engaging, interesting | Lacks engagement, may feel generic |
Takeaways | Clear, actionable insights for educators | Some takeaways, moderately useful | Lacks clear takeaways or practical application |
Grammar & Mechanics | Flawless, professional writing | Minor errors, readable | Frequent errors, needs editing |
Media Quality (if included) | High-quality, well-integrated | Acceptable quality, relevant | Poor quality, distracting |
- Submissions scoring 12+ out of 18 may be considered for publication.
- Submissions scoring between 9-11 may receive feedback for optional revisions.
- Submissions scoring below 9 may not be considered, but educators may be encouraged to resubmit in the future.
Publishing & Promotion
- Approved stories will be formatted and featured in the Educator Stories Library.
- Some stories may also be highlighted in Outschool newsletters and social media.
- Educators will be notified before their story is published.
