Historical Memory: Reflecting on 80 Years of Holocaust Education

For 80 years, educators have developed a variety of approaches to bringing the history of the Holocaust to classrooms. Studying this history in both its particularities and the universality offers both dilemmas and opportunities including at what age and with what sources and voices this history is best learned.

During this webinar, Dr. Michael Berenbaum, world-renowned Holocaust historian and author, will reflect on his many decades in the field of Holocaust education, how the field has evolved, the challenges it has faced, and the successes it has had. He will also explore the future of Holocaust education, especially as fewer survivors are able to directly share their experiences.
