From Independent Teacher to Org Admin: Becoming an Org Webinar

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our conversation about transitioning from solo educator to organization owner on Outschool.

During the webinar, we discussed what changes when becoming an org admin, including hiring and supporting teachers, building systems and processes, managing communication, and scaling sustainably.

Much of the session focused on attendee questions around:

• When to start an org
• Growing gradually vs. scaling quickly
• Finding and working with co-teachers
• Maintaining class quality while growing
• Managing the administrative side of running an org

One of the biggest takeaways from the conversation was that there is no single path to building a successful organization. Many orgs start small, grow over time, and evolve through experimentation and learning.
