Thank you to everyone who joined Part 2 of our Creating a Self-Paced Class series with educator Jes Sudbrink!
In this session, educators got a hands-on walkthrough of uploading and organizing lesson content in the new Outschool V2 format, from the first content block all the way to hitting Publish.
Topics included:
- How to organize your videos and lesson materials before going into Outschool
- Navigating to the Classroom button (the non-obvious step that unlocks your content builder)
- Adding video content via YouTube link or direct upload, and how each displays in the classroom
- Using content blocks ā video, reading, and assignment ā and how to mix them within a lesson
- How lesson titles and descriptions auto-populate your public-facing syllabus
- Publishing your course and toggling on new enrollments
- Tips for getting approved the first time, including a note about camera appearance
- How to migrate existing V1 classes (simpler than creating new ā no re-approval needed)
- Creating high-quality square marketing images in Canva for ads and promotions
- How to preview your classroom from the learner’s perspective
Educators also left with a free content organizer spreadsheet to help plan and track lesson materials before building out their course.
