Zoom live captioning
Learn how you can enhance your classroom experience with Zoom live captions.

Your learners (or parents) may reach out to you before class begins–or even at the beginning of class–and ask that you initiate this feature. The good news is that it’s easy to activate. The great news is that it’s incredibly accurate and will improve your learners’ experiences!

Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Go to your “Live Transcripts” button at the bottom of the host control bar.

Step 2: Click “Live Transcript”-”Enable Auto-Transcription.”

Step 3: Once you enable this button, you will see the transcript start running at the bottom of the Zoom meeting video. Attendees will also be alerted that Live Transcript is available.

Step 4: After you activate the transcript, attendees can click on Live Transcript to select how they want to display it; they can choose to show subtitles (with the additional feature of controlling the text font size) or the full transcript.
